Custom painting #2

My second custom piece is officially done! A very sweet young lady told me she loved my blue stars piece and wanted me to re-create a similar one for her. This is personally my favorite of all my  pieces :)

Custom piece #1

This is my very first custom piece and I'm happy with the way it turned out. It has a border of gold stars and 7 hearts. Each heart represents one member of my family (including my dogs) :) My dad is going to donate $20 for it! 

I have another custom piece that I am almost done with that'll I'll be posting pictures of very soon :)

News and sales.

The first piece of news I have is in regards to my first sale. My first piece, the blue one with the stars, is officially unavailable. It has been purchased and I am so proud of myself for raising $15 for the foundation. 

 The second piece of news is in regards to my "wild and free" piece. It is also unavailable. It now belongs to my sister. The leaves dried up and were beginning to break off. I figured it would be too much of a risk to send it out somewhere because it would completely fall apart. Since my sister had already donated $30 to the foundation earlier this month it was logical that she keep it. On top of all of that it has been her favorite piece from the beginning.

The third piece of news I have is about a personal, customized painting I have been asked to make. My dad has asked me to make him a customized painting. The best part is he wants to pay me $20! That'll probably be done by next Tuesday at latest because I need to buy some more supplies over the weekend. I will keep you updated on that. If you want to help but don't like any of my current pieces contact me at artforro3@gmail.com and I can customize a piece for no extra charge. 

The last thing I am going to include in this post is a Thank-you to everyone/anyone who has been promoting my blog. I was EXTREMELY honored to have the Ronan Thompson foundation tweet me. Another thank you to my friend Lizzie who tweeted about me too. Thank you to anyone else i didn't include.

Thank you for coming to my blog. PLEASE tell anyone you can about this blog. We NEED to get the word out about childhood cancer. Please help me help these poor kids who can't help themselves. They can't speak up for themselves. That is why we so desperately need to.

I Love Ro

I Love Ro. This piece is one of my favorites. It has a yellow background (that I made by mixing some different colors). The purple border is made out of mini chocolate wrappers. The heart in the middle is an imprint of a heart-shaped leaf that I found in my yard. It says 'Ro' inside the heart to symbolize how Ronan is always in your heart . September 7th : The day my life changed forever

I remember the first time I listened to Ronan. I remember watching Taylor sing it. I didn't even get through the first line without crying. Just knowing what the song was about before it even started made my eyes water. I remember bawling through the whole song. I remember hugging my parents through tears. I remember the first time I saw a picture of Ronan. I remember thinking "that boy has the most beautiful eyes" I remember thinking
"that little boy's not here anymore" I remember thinking how unfair that is. I remember thinking how terrible cancer is. I remember that moment so well. I remember the moment my life changed forever.

All good things are wild and free

All good things are wild and free. This is a very natural piece and the most interesting piece I've made so far. The background is an earthy blue. You can see streaks of greenish brown hidden throughout the piece. It has green leaves (that came from my backyard) :). It says "Wild & Free" in the middle and has a gold star next to the 'free' :) It has a metallic gold border :) It has a gold childhood cancer awareness ribbon at the top. KIDS GET CANCER TOO

KIDS GET CANCER TOO! NEVER FORGET THAT! Even though this piece isn't the prettiest (because I messed up the size of the words) it has such an IMPORTANT message. What people don't tend to realize is that if they pay more attention to kids with cancer and help raise awareness then one day kids won't get cancer anymore. That is the goal :  A world where kids don't get cancer. Sadly that isn't the world we live in. That's why we all need to lend a helping hand. This piece has an apple green background. It says 'KIDS GET CANCER TOO' in the middle and has blue and purple streaks and dots. It of course has a tiny gold childhood caner awareness ribbon on the top. This one is $15. Neuroblastoma SUCKS!

Neuroblastoma is the type of cancer that took Ronan's life. Purple is the color for Neuroblastoma awareness. This is a very simple piece. It has a background of metallic gold paint (which looks AWESOME!). It has a giant purple ribbon for Neuroblastoma awareness as well as purple streaks and dots. It also has the tiny gold childhood cancer awareness ribbon that all my pieces have. This one is $15. My story.

Last September I found out about Ronan. I also found out about how terrible Childhood Cancer is. Ronan was a BEAUTIFUL baby boy who was taken too young at only 3 years old. He died from Neuroblastoma, a type of childhood cancer. Last September I was unable to help as much as I wanted to. I have donated money and tried my best to spread awareness about this disease. This September I wanted to give back and contribute the most I possibly could, that is why I'm here :) I have decided to make childhood cancer awareness art. I have made several paintings and will make more as long as I make sales. Whenever I finish a painting I will make a blog post about it.
